ASUS ROG Strix GT15

So, I think gaming computers are awesome because they allow you to play high performance games, but since they have the Windows operating system, they also allow you to install a lot of software that mainstream gaming consoles don’t allow. Another perk is that since many computers come with windows installed, they allow you to use the Xbox Game Pass. The X-box Game Pass has many of the titles you would have on the Xbox store. I also really like how gaming computers give you the option of switching out computer components if you would like to. Upgrading things like the CPU or the GPU. It’s incredible too me how powerful computers have become. The high level of graphics they can process with beautiful visuals and also the processing speed of our modern CPUs is incredible.

I really like this particular desktop computer because it looks cool, and it’s made by Asus. I think Asus makes good quality computers and I like the direction they are going as a company. Another small but impacting feature of the Strix GT15 is that it has a handle. This is huge to me because I (for various reasons, like switching TVs and playing with my nephews) am frequently moving my gaming consoles around. So, to have this small and slight design feature makes a huge difference for me.

My biggest criticism of many gaming computers is that they are so expensive. In some ways I understand why, but in some ways, I think it’s unnecessary. So, PS5 and Xbox X/S are more affordable to play Next-Gen games, but the downside is there limited in their applications. Gaming computers have the best of both worlds in that you can play Next-Gen games but still have the Windows operating system which gives you the freedom to do many things you can't do on those popular gaming consoles. So, that is part of the justification for the higher price, but I think it's somewhat unnecessary. But, alas for now, that is the situation, and this is great PC that would be worth buying if you are financially able.

Another thing I would like to point out is that you might need to buy a gaming monitor along with your desktop. You could use a regular TV, but it might not display your games and stuff as smoothly as a gaming monitor. Pay attention to the Hertz's. So, the higher the HZ's the smoother the picture display. I recently got a gaming desktop, but I realized my older TV could not hang with it. So, I had to get a gaming monitor. It's kind of a bummer, because to get a really good monitor could cost you $200-$400 bucks. I got a pretty affordable one for $130. So, the interesting thing is the HZ on mine is really high, so the picture is super-fast and smooth, but the picture resolution is better on my living room TV. So, Hz's and resolution are too things you want to consider when you are shopping for a gaming monitor or TV. So, before you buy just be aware of that aspect of the cost. If you're not big on games that only PC has like certain games on Steam, it might be better for you to just to buy an Xbox.
