I love the Dodge Challenger. It’s super fun to drive. It sounds amazing when you start it up and when you're blazing through the streets. That thing is fast. I love some good ol’ fashion American Muscle. And this car is one of the few cars left in our modern era that has carried on this amazing part of our heritage. I would definitely recommend at least the RT model that comes with a V8 engine.
So, I am passionate about combustion engines, but I am also passionate about enriching the planet. I believe we need to try to make combustion engines more eco-friendly instead of getting rid of them altogether. The reality is transportation is only a small percentage of our emission of pollutants. I don’t disagree that we should be careful with how we use combustion engines, but I think there is a common belief out there right now that condemns combustion engines and also overemphasizes the effect that cars have on the environment. Taking care of the planet is a complex problem with many parts. So, we need to focus on fixing each part instead of just oversimplifying the problem and focusing too much on one part. All that said, save the Hemi’s! A wise Dodge salesman once told me that sometimes smiles-per-hour are more important than miles-per-hour.
