Kingdom of Heaven
This is a great movie. This movie is set in Jerusalem during the 12th century crusades. Its pretty fascinating because there is a religious war over the land of Israel and who will rule it. It’s super interesting to get a glimpse of how life was back then and how Christians and Muslims fought so hard take possession of Israel. Orlando Bloom plays the main role and does a great job. He is somewhat of an outsider who eventually takes possession of an inheritance near Jerusalem from someone who seems to be his father. He is a man of war and is also trained by this father figure. He then gets caught in the middle of this war between Christians and Muslims and has to fight for the people of Jerusalem. Amidst all the fighting (both physical and ideological) going on around him, he is forced to form his own perspective of God and realize the implications it will have. This movie is definitely worth a watch!
