New Mutants #19
This storyline is what the New Mutants movie is based on. The movie didn't really do the comic justice, but it was cool in some ways. So I started reading New Mutants because I wanted to learn more about the character Magik. She's a really interesting character to me. But I really like the new mutants run just overall. It was another moment where I realized where some of my favorite characters came from like Cannonball, Wolfsbane and Warlock.
I particularly like this story arch, because I like how it portrayed a warfare that is not in the physical realm, but in the spiritual realm and how they needed to approach that differently and rely on team members like Magik to combat the enemies there. The artist who worked on this storyline did an incredible job. He has a super unique and abstract style.

P.S. I’ve read a lot comics through my Marvel Unlimited subscription. It’s great because they basically have every marvel comic ever created. There are some things that I think could be better like the resolution when it’s zoomed in, but for the most part it’s been a great app to use.
