Tesla Solar
So, I really like Tesla for a solar option because I did some exploring with different companies and how their sales process was. I had the best experience with Tesla solar. The main reason for that is their solar system calculator. You can just go to their website and put in a few details about your home like your address and approximate electricity bill and their website will give you an estimate right then and there. With other companies that explored I felt like they made it hard for me to get an estimate. Sometimes they would want information that I did not want to give or if I talked to a sales rep, they would sometimes lead me through a process that I felt was unnecessary or too 'salesy'. So, I would recommend at least checking out their website to get an estimate. I cannot speak for the purchase process as a whole because I do not have Tesla solar, I actually have SunPower (Because it came with my condo). But the fact that they allow you get an estimate without "the runaround” I think is a big deal.
I also like how they give you the option of installing a power wall to retain more of the energy you produce, and that they manufacture them themselves. I think a power wall could be a good option because in my experience electricity companies don’t necessarily pay you back for surplus energy that you produce.
